“For four decades, I’ve witnessed the remarkable growth and evolution of our association and the hosiery industry. Serving as the President of the West Bengal Hosiery Association for three terms has been an honour, and I am deeply grateful for the continued trust placed in me. Throughout my journey, my unwavering goal has been to foster a strong and united community within our association. I believe in the power of collective action and strive to be a liaison between our members, ensuring no one has to face the challenges alone.
To this end, I have had the privilege to establish a Grievance Redressal Cell to address the concerns of every member effectively, especially tax reforms, labour laws and a lot more. Moving forward, my vision is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every member feels valued and empowered. Together, we will achieve new heights of excellence and success.”

West Bengal Hosiery Association
Established in 1959, WBHA today has more than 300 members. Our primary objectives have remained unwavering over the years, which include safeguarding and advancing the interests of the Hosiery Industry and trade at large, with a particular focus on our members. We also strive to foster harmony between workers and employers, promote camaraderie among our members, and actively represent their concerns at the government level to address any hardships they encounter. As times change and new needs emerge, we recognize the necessity to revitalize and broaden our objectives, setting higher goals for ourselves. We have categorized our functions into key areas, encompassing infrastructure development, knowledge sharing, resource management, enhancing membership participation, and strengthening interactions with the government to better serve the Hosiery Industry in the state of West Bengal.
